Patna Pirates may not have made the Playoffs in Season 6 but their fans still had a reason to cheer as Pardeep Narwal made the Best Raider award his own yet again on the back of a 233-raid point performance in the season. After three consecutive years as the leading raid-point scorer of the season, Narwal was finally overtaken in Season 6 by Bengaluru Bulls’ Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, but not before the former passed the 200-raid point mark yet again and was leading the pack in terms of raid points at one point.

After a solid start to Season 6, Narwal broke a number of records in the season including becoming the second-ever player to reach 800 total points in VIVO Pro Kabaddi history, the first raider to cross 850 raid points in the league and currently sits atop the list of the league’s best overall raiders having played 15 less games than the second-best player on that list. .

The highlight of Narwal’s season came in Match 101 against Puneri Paltan where he scores 27 raid points in 26 attempts and was tackled only thrice in the entire match. The Dubki King became only the second player after Rahul Chaudhari to win multiple Best Raider awards and having won it in back-to-back in the past two seasons, Narwal will be aiming for a hattrick in Season 7.
