The presence on the mat for any player plays a key role in understanding the situation of a Pro Kabaddi match. The game of kabaddi only allows a little time for a player to assess and get used to the circumstances they are in during the live game. However, certain players spend a significant amount of time on the mat and play a crucial role in making the team aware of the ongoing gameplay. Such players play their part especially when coaches are not allowed to coach during the raid.
Let's take a look at the top 5 players who have spent the most time on the mat in PKL Season 10.
Rahul Sethpal - Haryana Steelers
The right corner had the best season in the 10th PKL edition among all three seasons he has played so far. Rahul was among the top five tacklers on the leaderboard with 73 tackle points. He was rock solid as the frontline defender for Haryana Steelers throughout the season, contributing significantly to the team's first-ever PKL final appearance. With an average of 34 minutes and 50 seconds out of 40 minutes of the total duration of a match, Rahul spent the most time on the mat in Pro Kabaddi League Season 10.
Gaurav Khatri - Puneri Paltan
The young defender, playing only his second PKL season, grabbed attention with his defensive skills in the 10th PKL edition. He performed exceptionally well, adding crucial 69 tackle points to his team's tally. The right corner was the second-best defender for the current champions, Puneri Paltan after Mohammadreza Chiyaneh. Playing him in all matches boosted Gaurav's confidence, and his average stay of 33 minutes and 55 seconds on the mat was the best among all the Paltan players.
