Name: Deepak Narwal

Team: Bengal Warriors

Position: Raider

Patna Pirates and Bengal Warriors were involved in a 37-37 tie at the Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Ranchi on Sunday. It was the second time this season that the two sides played out a tie as Bengal came back from a losing position in the dying moments of the game to share the points.

It was a high-scoring fixture that featured four Super 10s, however, it was Deepak Narwal’s Super 10 against his former side that stands out the most. Narwal made a comeback after an injury layoff and hit the ground running by providing enough support to Bengal’s lead raider Maninder Singh as the clinical raiding duo helped their side to a tie.

What’s more is that of the four raiders who managed a Super 10, he was the only one who didn’t start the match. He came on as a substitute and proved to be the perfect foil for Maninder by scoring a total of 10 points – six touch points and four bonus points.
