After a good performance in Pune’s pervious game against home team Tamil Thalaivas, Deepak Hooda went from strength to strength against an impressive U.P. Yoddha outfit and top-scored with 17 points in his team’s win on Saturday. Hooda bagged three crucial super raids which broke the back of the U.P. defence and got Pune over the line.

Pune were in a strong position at one point with a 12-point lead but U.P. Yoddha’s late comeback through their captain Nitin Tomar added a lot of spice to the encounter. However in the end, the U.P. defence was unable to get the better of Hooda in the closing moments as well, which resulted in the Pune captain being able to scoff precious seconds without being tackled on quite a few occasions when he went in to raid. This ultimately kept the U.P. unit at bay and foiled their attempt to take the game away from the Paltan.

With Hooda’s form shining and the defence firing, Pune currently look one of the strongest units in VIVO Pro Kabaddi.
