On Tuesday, two more exciting matches came to pass with Gujarat Fortunegiants beating Puneri Paltan in the first and Bengal Warriors edging hosts U.P. Yoddha in the second. As Gujarat consolidated their place at the top of Zone A, their star defender Fazel Atrachali had a field day with yet another rampaging display.

As Gujarat put up another all-round display to continue their dominance in the league, Atrachali picked up a mammoth tally of 9 tackle points to create a new season record. By becoming the player with maximum tackle points in a single match this season, he proved himself worth his weight in gold.  

Atrachali’s partnership with Iranian team-mate Abozar Mighani is the biggest asset for Gujarat, and their riot on Tuesday evening led to Pune’s collapse. From initiating the first tackle of the match to securing his first High 5 of the season, Atrachali’s red-hot form was pivotal in the context of the match.
