The seventh edition of KBD Juniors took place at the Motilal Nehru School of Sports in Sonepat on Monday and South Point International School emerged victorious against Raunaq Public School in the final. Raunaq Public School put up a brave fight but South Point International held their nerve to win 22-16 and win the coveted trophy.

The following eight schools participated in the tournament: Siddhartha International School, Raunaq Public School, Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Delhi Public School, South Point International School, TDI International, Dev Rishi Vidyaniketan School and Sehwag International School. The principals, teachers and parents thronged the venue to cheer on the new generation of kabaddi players in Haryana.

The champions defeated Dev Rishi Vidyaniketan in their semi-final, while the runners-up got the better of Delhi Public School in the other last-4 encounter. Ranchi is up next on the KBD Juniors map, and on the evidence so far one can safely expect yet another edition of high-octane kabaddi games.
