Check out our preview for all three games:

Match 98: Patna Pirates vs Bengal Warriors

The Patna Pirates have been in scintillating form of late. They have won three of their last four matches and have climbed to second on the points table. Their defence, by every metric, is the best in the league, with Mohammadreza Chiyaneh leading the unit by example with five High 5s. The three-pronged raiding unit of Sachin, Prashanth Kumar Rai and Guman Singh has also been spectacular over the past two matches. The Pirates have the arsenal to sink any team and they have been showcasing it on the mat.

The Bengal Warriors are on the opposite end of the form spectrum. They have lost their last two matches by more than seven points and have slipped to 10th on the points table. Outside of Maninder Singh, who is one of only two players with 200 points this season, and Ran Singh, the team has been woeful on offence and defence. Their defence, in particular, has been poor. They are averaging only 8.06 tackle points per game, which ranks 11th in the league. The Warriors mathematically have a chance of making it to the playoffs, but if they continue on their current trajectory, their campaign could capitulate soon.

Patna Pirates vs Bengal Warriors head-to-head

The Patna Pirates hold an 11-4 lead in their head-to-head matches against the Bengal Warriors. The teams have shared the spoils on three occasions. They last met on New Year’s Day, where Patna beat Bengal 44-30.

Match 99: Bengaluru Bulls vs Gujarat Giants

The Bengaluru Bulls missed their chance to leapfrog Dabang Delhi on the points table after the teams played out a 36-36 tie in the last game. Pawan Sehrawat delivered another special performance and finished the game with 17 points. While their defence managed to pick up nine tackle points, they did give away 21 raid points, which would concern coach Randhir Singh Sehrawat. If the Bulls’ defence can curb the leakage, they have the firepower on offence to beat any team in vivo PKL.

The Gujarat Giants were on the receiving end of a relentless onslaught from the Patna Pirates in the previous outing, as they succumbed to a 20-point loss. The Giants had a horrible second half against the Pirates. They were outscored 25-7 and managed only three tackle and three raid points in 20 minutes. Coach Manpreet Singh will want his side to brush that off as an anomaly and focus on trying to beat the Bulls.

Bengaluru Bulls vs Gujarat Giants head-to-head

The Bengaluru Bulls and Gujarat Giants’ head-to-head series is evenly tied at 3-3. They have also played out a tie once. In their first meeting this season, Bengaluru beat Gujarat 46-37.

PKL Schedule for Sunday, February 6

Match 98: Patna Pirates vs Bengal Warriors, 7:30 PM IST

Match 99: Bengaluru Bulls vs Gujarat Giants, 8:30 PM IST
