In an exhilarating kabaddi encounter preceding Season 7 of VIVO Pro Kabaddi, World 7 and Indian 7 thrilled fans with some exciting kabaddi action in the All Star match at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday. Patna Pirates’ Jang Kun Lee was the star for World 7 as he showcased supreme form on the way to a Super 10. Hi-Flyer Pawan Kumar Sehrawat from the Bengaluru Bulls, too, returned a Super 10 for Indian 7. Iranian Mohammad Nabibakhsh, who will be making his VIVO Pro Kabaddi debut with Bengal Warriors in Season 7 was another stand-out performer on the night.
Sehrawat started the game where he left off in VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 6, dominating the match from his first raid. His swift Running Hand Touches and elegant Bonus attempts gave the opposition little chance of stopping his charge.
World 7 captain and U Mumba’s defensive mainstay Fazel Atrachali showcased some aggressive intent right from the start to prove just why he is the league’s most successful foreign defender. His Blocks and Thigh Holds were a treat to watch as he was not afraid to take on any raider. He was ably supported by Nabibakhsh’s excellent all-round performance.
However, it was Lee who captured the fans’ attention the most when he came in to raid. His quick foot movement gave him an immense advantage when it came to keeping the Indian 7 defenders at bay and he will surely be a player to watch out for in the coming season.
In defence, Puneri Paltan’s new Cover, veteran defender Surjeet Singh made quite a statement through his impressive solo tackles. His strength and timing were impeccable on the night. Dabang Delhi K.C.’s Ravinder Pahal, too, showed a lot of grit and even pulled off an amazing Super Tackle almost all by himself in the second half.
The encounter kept fans glued to their seats till the end as some mouth-watering kabaddi was on display on both sides. The players will now be seen in action with their respective franchises as the first match of VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 7 draws near.
