Eight schools from across New Delhi faced off on Sunday at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in a bid to be crowned KBD Juniors champions. In the end it was Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya who outperformed the others and were the deserving champions.

Inspired by their kabaddi heroes from Dabang Delhi K.C., Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya beat Ramjas School in the semi-final and maintained their winning form in the final too. Their opponents Modern School Barakhamba, however, were unable to replicate their semi-final win against Don Bosco School and fell to a soft defeat.

All 8 teams, though, put up a strong fight and the crowd, mainly consisting of the parents and school staff of the participating schools, were treated to some excellent kabaddi. The tournament kept the enthusiasm around VIVO Pro Kabaddi alive and gave Delhi a glimpse of some future kabaddi stars.

After completing nine cities, KBD Juniors will now move to Chennai and with home team Tamil Thalaivas finding form recently, the juniors there will be also itching to showcase their skills on the mat.
