A sensational Super 10 from Vijay and clutch raiding in the second half from Neeraj Narwal helped Dabang Delhi K.C. beat U Mumba 36-30. Delhi’s win saw them extend their lead to seven points at the top of the vivo Pro Kabaddi table.

The two teams split the first six points evenly, and then Delhi seized the advantage with five unanswered points, courtesy of two tackle points from their defence, a two-point raid from Ashu Malik and a bonus from Vijay. Down to just two men, U Mumba’s defence held fort and Super Tackled Ashu Malik to cut the deficit to three.

Manjeet’s Ankle Hold on Abhishek yet again left U Mumba with just two defenders. But Fazel Atrachali and Harendra Kumar proved to be too much to handle for Sandeep Narwal, as he too was Super Tackled by the duo.

Shivam came off the bench and scored two touch points to help U Mumba take the lead for the first time in the contest. Vijay quickly brought parity to the scoreline with a successful bonus attempt, but Abhishek responded with a touch point to help his side reclaim the lead and reduce Delhi to just two players on the mat.

However, another successful bonus attempt from Vijay in the last raid of the half ensured the two teams went into halftime level on the scoreboard.

With Delhi down to two players, U Mumba played the patience game and allowed Vijay to pick up another bonus and return without a touch point.

Ajith managed to bait Joginder Narwal into throwing an advanced tackle which he quickly escaped leaving Delhi with a solitary man on the mat.

U Mumba’s defence sat deep and allowed Vijay to pick up the bonus before Fazel Atrachali threw a strong Block, immobilised the raider and helped his side inflict an All Out and take a two-point lead.

The two teams went back-and-forth over the next 10 minutes as they matched each other point-for-point as U Mumba held on to their slender advantage. Substitute Neeraj Narwal’s touch point cut the deficit to one before Vijay showcased his defensive repertoire with a sensational Dash on Abhishek to level the scores.

Sandeep and Neeraj managed to help Delhi build a two-point lead, but Shivam’s touch point kept U Mumba within striking distance. Neeraj then flipped the game on its head with a sensational Dubki that sent two U Mumba defenders to the bench and left them with just a couple of players on the mat.

The raider added another touch point to his tally to reduce U Mumba to a lone man. Substitute Jashandeep Singh managed to pick up the bonus but was Dashed out of bounds by Delhi’s defenders before he could escape with a touch point. The All Out left U Mumba trailing by five with less than two minutes left on the clock.

U Mumba tried to mount a comeback, but in their attempt to do so, gifted two easy touch points to Vijay. In the game’s final raid, Abhishek picked up a bonus before being pinned down by Manjeet Chhillar, which capped off a perfect night for Delhi.
