The Inter-Zone Challenge Week in Season 6 of VIVO Pro Kabaddi kicks off with Dabang Delhi K.C. taking on Bengal Warriors at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune on Sunday.

Dabang Delhi K.C. lost in a close contest against Haryana Steelers, ending their unbeaten start to the campaign. They will look bounce back and end Bengal Warriors’ unbeaten start to Season 6 in return.

Bengal Warriors played out a nail-biting tie against U.P. Yoddha, ensuring they remain unbeaten in Season 6 of VIVO Pro Kabaddi. Maninder Singh led the way for his team with 16 points and captain PO Surjeet Singh picked up six tackle points as the team battled back from a 30-23 deficit to finish the match at 40-40. While the draw ends their perfect start to the season, coach Jagdish Kumble will be proud of the way his team struck back to level the score. With this draw, Bengal Warriors climbed to the second spot in Zone B and the team will look to reach for the top spot with a win against Dabang Delhi K.C.

A thrilling contest in Sonepat between Haryana Steelers and Dabang Delhi K.C. saw the home team come out victors by a narrow three-point margin over the team from the capital. Dabang Delhi K.C. showed grit right until the very last raid of the match but were unable to triumph over their opponents. Dabang Delhi K.C. will look to brush off the disappointment of that result when they take on Bengal Warriors and aim to put in a strong performance to get their season back on track. With an experienced defence, consisting of captain Joginder Narwal, Ravinder Pahal and Vishal Mane, Dabang Delhi K.C. will certainly make life difficult for Maninder Singh, who has so far been on song.

With 11 tackle points in three matches this season, including two Super Tackles, Right Corner Ravinder Pahal has had a strong start to the campaign and Dabang Delhi K.C. will hope he can continue this form when they take on the excellent raiding unit of Bengal Warriors. Maninder Singh scored an astonishing 14 raid points in the second half of his team’s match against U.P. Yoddha as his team climbed back from a 7-point deficit to earn a draw.  Singh’s performance against Dabang Delhi K.C. might prove to be the difference between winning and losing for Bengal Warriors.

Chandran Ranjit - Dabang Delhi K.C.

Chandran Ranjit’s 23 raid points in three games have helped him establish himself as Dabang Delhi K.C.’s lead raider. The team will hope that Ranjit can continue his good work against the Surjeet Singh-led Bengal Warriors defence.

The six tackle points against U.P. Yoddha from Surjeet Singh were crucial in Bengal Warriors’ late charge to earn a draw. The defence will look towards their inspirational captain to lead by example once again when they take on the talented Dabang Delhi K.C. raiding unit.
