The Pro Kabaddi League, since its inception in 2014, has brought a lot of kabaddi players into the limelight. Players from the grassroot level who were once plying their trade on mud have not just got the opportunity to brush shoulders with some of the biggest names in the sport but they have also gone on to create a name for themselves and are now widely recognised across the country.

Over nine years, PKL has given us some memorable kabaddi stories of players who have found a place in the hearts of kabaddi fans through their dedication and hard work. The game has evolved with each passing year and Pro Kabaddi has played a major role in transforming the lives of many players. Rakesh Kumar was PKL’s first-ever most expensive raider after being bought for INR 12.80 lakh by Patna Pirates in the inaugural edition of Pro Kabaddi.

And the price tags for raiders just kept rising with each passing season ever since as the Player Purse for the Player Auction also increased. The Season 9 Player Auction witnessed star raider Pawan Sehrawat being picked by Tamil Thalaivas for INR 2.26 crore, making him the most expensive raider in PKL history. For the Season 10 Player Auction, Pawan Sehrawat will once again be up for grabs with the likes of Maninder Singh and Vikash Kandola also expected to go under the hammer.

Iranian defender Fazel Atrachali was the first player to breach the INR 1 crore mark but there have been many players, particularly raiders who have crossed the crore mark since. Ahead of the Season 10 Player Auction, here’s a list of some of the most expensive raiders in Pro Kabaddi history.
