Having players with an all-round ability is a big bonus for any team as it gives them additional options when it comes to deciding team composition and lends to a better overall balance. Here are the five all-rounders from Season 6 who made the biggest impact by way of points scored for their respective teams.

1. Deepak Niwas Hooda – Jaipur Pink Panthers

Jaipur Pink Panthers’ ace all-rounder Deepak Niwas Hooda emerged as the top-scoring all-rounder of Season 6 with a mammoth 208 points to his name. He also became the only all-rounder to cross the 200-point mark in VIVO Pro Kabaddi history. With 10 Super 10s and a High 5 to his name in the 22 matches that he played, Hooda was one of the driving forces in Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Season 6 campaign.

2. Meraj Sheykh – Dabang Delhi K.C.

A veteran kabaddi player with a knack to come in and deliver in pressure situations, Meraj Sheykh was a shining star in Dabang Delhi K.C.’s season 6 campaign and emerged as their third-highest scoring player as well as the season’s second-highest scoring all-rounder. Sheykh’s form hit its peak in Dabang Delhi K.C.’s home leg and there was no looking back for the Iranian from there as he finished the season with 97 points to his name including two Super 10s. His 15-point showing against Jaipur Pink Panthers in his side’s first home game remained his best performance of the season.

3. Ran Singh – Bengal Warriors

Bengal Warriors’ Ran Singh really brought his raiding skills to the fore in Season 6, scoring 29 raid points out of a total tally of 71 points. He finished the season with an impressive tackle strike rate of 46.59% while manning the Corners for his team and was able to stay on the mat for long periods which helped his team avoid a number of potential All-Outs. He eventually emerged as Bengal Warriors’ second-best defender in the season.

4. Manjeet Chhillar – Tamil Thalaivas

In a season which saw him become the first player in VIVO Pro Kabaddi history to cross the 300 tackle point mark, Manjeet Chhillar made a big impact for Tamil Thalaivas on the mat and scored the fourth-most points by an all-rounder in Season 6. The Season 2 MVP scored 67 points in just 19 games at an average of 3.52. He also had 2 High 5s and 5 Super Tackles to his name with a Tackle Strike Rate of 44.62%.

5. Sandeep Narwal – Puneri Paltan

Puneri Paltan’s veteran all-rounder Sandeep Narwal capped off Season 6 with 66 points in 18 matches in a season where he showcased his abilities on both sides of the mat with equal finesse. He had 25 raid points and 41 tackle points to his name, but his most impressive attribute this past season was that he never backed down from taking a raider on even when his team was down to three or fewer defenders on the mat as is amply demonstrated by his 7 Super Tackles from the season.
