Deepak Narwal’s inspired performance took Patna Pirates to a commanding 50-30 win over Bengal Warriors at the Dome@NSCI SVP Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday. Making a return to the side, skipper Pardeep Narwal helped himself to a Super 10 as well to move to the top of the Best Raiders list for Season 6.

Having been reduced to three players on the mat within the first 8 minutes, Patna Pirates’ Kuldeep Singh managed the first Super Tackle of the game with an Ankle Hold on Maninder Singh to hand his side a 7-6 lead. Patna Pirates then made their aggressive intentions clear banking on a two-point raid by Deepak Narwal.

Pardeep got a touch on Shrikant Tewthia to reduce Bengal Warriors to a solitary player on the mat before a Block by Jaideep on Jang Kun Lee gave Patna Pirates the first All-Out of the game in the 14th minute as they led by eight points.

They scored the first 10 points of the half, including a tackle which got Jaideep his fourth High 5 of the season.
