Bengaluru Bulls dished out a 64-24 drubbing to U.P. Yoddha in the southerners’ penultimate match of the season at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune on Tuesday. Rohit Kumar was the star of the show for the Bulls as both he and the team became history-makers. Rohit broke the 30 raid-point barrier to become the highest scorer ever in a single match, while Bengaluru picked up the biggest victory in the history of the league.

To say that Rohit was in breath-taking form would be an understatement as Lucknow’s defence can attest. The star raider managed a total of 32 points on the night, out of which 30 were raid points. He also showed his skill in defence with a super tackle that no one in the opposition, bench or crowd saw coming.

However, it’s his attacking display in the game that will be remembered as he ran rampant against a hapless Lucknow defence. Even though he didn’t complete a single super raid, a jaw-dropping 27 of his 31 attempted raids ended in success. With Bengaluru’s playoff chances done and dusted for the season, Rohit, who has been their best performer this year, will be pleased with his record-breaking showing that will take some beating.
