U Mumba came into Saturday's game against Dabang Delhi K.C. with one loss and one narrow victory in VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 5. They were struggling to find form and score decisive victories. If there was ever a time for their captain Anup Kumar to come good, it was now, and boy did he nail it!

His side was leading in the second half thanks to some tidy defending and good raids by senior raider Shabeer Bappu. But it could all have changed in the 10th minute as he was the only man left on the mat for U Mumba. Instead of surrendering meekly, the Captain Cool took the challenge head on and returned with a super raid, saving his team from an All-Out in the process. He was also efficient in defence and added muscle to the tackles whenever needed. He eventually finished with a match haul of 7 points, which proved crucial in the end.

Kumar is known to have one of the sharpest minds in the game of kabaddi, and in Saturday's 36-22 win, the wily raider proved that for the umpteenth time.
