Name: Pardeep Narwal
Team: Patna Pirates
Position: Raider

As the first Inter Zone Challenge Week came to an end at Lucknow on Sunday, kabaddi fans were witness to another set of well-fought matches. While double defending champions Patna Pirates succumbed to their first defeat of the season, U.P. Yoddha for the third time running faltered on their home turf. However, much above the results, one man stood out brilliantly to notch up another VIVO Pro Kabaddi record and he was none other than the ‘Dubki King’ Pardeep Narwal.

Trailing by 12 points and having spent more than 10 minutes off the court when the first half ended, Narwal entered the second half with renewed zest and a burning desire to turn the tables on Puneri Paltan. And he got super raids, successful pursuits and a series of touch points before finishing the match with a mammoth 19 points. He led his troops from the front and was able to hand Pune two consecutive All-Outs within minutes to lead the fightback.

In the process, he broke his own VIVO Pro Kabaddi record of 15 points in a single match. Even though Patna ended up on the losing side, Narwal’s mind-boggling performance stands as a sheer example of pure talent.
