Q: What do you have to say about the match today?

Srinivas Reddy: Firstly, I would like to thank the crowd for their support. Throughout the league, the support we’ve received has been amazing. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to repay the crowds with wins. We needed a convincing win and we got that today. Today is Aaradhya Bachchan’s birthday and this win is for her. We had unearthed Ajinkya Pawar’s talent long ago, but today he proved that he is going to be a huge player in the future. Whenever we needed points today, he got them for us. He has never faltered under pressure and today was no different.

Q: What sort of pressure were you under?

Ajinkya Pawar: I was under no pressure. I have always had the support of my captain, Anup Kumar. I never felt scared when I went in to raid.

Q: Anup, what do you have to say about Ajinkya Pawar?

Anup Kumar: We have quite a few quality raiders in our team, and today Ajinkya Pawar showed he can step up as well. We were missing Nitin Rawal today and Ajinkya Pawar took the onus upon himself to get points for us. He was injured a couple of games back and hence couldn’t play well. He has been on the bench for us but today he got an opportunity and took it with both hands.

Q: Do you feel you gave away easy points, especially during Super Tackles?

Anup Kumar: We never look to give away easy points. We practice for situations like these during our practice sessions. But during the match, you face a lot of pressure in such situations and give away points.
