Randhir Singh: I feel proud of Pawan Kumar Sehrawat

Bengaluru Bulls defeated Tamil Thalaivas 44-35 in the Southern Derby rematch on Wednesday. At the post-match press conference coach Randhir Singh and Pawan Kumar Sehrawat took questions on behalf of Bengaluru Bulls.

Q. How do you see Pawan Kumar Sehrawat’s progress?

Randhir Singh: This is not his first season with me. I have seen him since he was 17. When the auction began I’ve kept a close eye on him. Against Karnataka, he single-handedly scored a staggering 18 points in the Senior Nationals.

Q. What improvements have you seen in Pawan in the past 2 years?

Randhir Singh: For the last 4 months I’ve made him work on just one aspect of his game and today I feel proud. I had already predicted that this season will be his best season yet.

Q. Do you think Pawan is the new champion you have in your team along with the ever-present Rohit Kumar?

Randhir Singh: Rohit is a champion on another level. He’s standing as the captain on the mat. Because of him, everyone is playing confidently.

Q. Pawan, you play under the best 2 raiders in VIVO Pro Kabaddi. Have you received any guidance from them during training or during the game?

Pawan Kumar Sehrawat: Both my coach and Kashi bhai (Kashiling Adake) have helped me on and off the mat to adapt. As the coach said, they helped me work on the improving my game and I’m thankful to them for it.
