Pune’s Vidya Niketan dominate to lift season’s final KBD Juniors trophy

A rampant Vidya Niketan School scored a massive 47 points to the Bishops School's 30 in the final of the KBD Juniors at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex to emerge champions of the Pune leg.

Vidya Niketan School, clad in yellow, put on a dominant show throughout the campaign by beating the Lexicon International School 36-6 in the quarter-finals and the MES Boys High School 23-11 in the semis before striking gold in the high-scoring final encounter.

After starting their campaign with a 27-16 win over Loyola High School, the Bishops School scraped through to the semis by a single point by overcoming D Y Patil Public School 19-18 before going down to Vidya Niketan School in the final.

Caelum High School Undri and Army Public School were the other two teams that comprised the passionate eight schools who competed in the Pune leg of the KBD Juniors in front of doting families, principals and teachers. Vidya Niketan School is the 12^th and last school to be crowned KBD Juniors champions this season.
