The weekend is another day away, but vivo Pro Kabaddi will bring the party on Thursday with a couple of enticing fixtures.

Vivo PKL’s oldest rivalry will commence the action, as Arjun Deshwal and Jaipur Pink Panthers will take on Fazel Atrachali and U Mumba. Surender Nada and the Haryana Steelers will have their work cut out when they take on Pawan Sehrawat and the Bengaluru Bulls in the second game.

Check out our preview for both games:

Match 21: Jaipur Pink Panthers vs U Mumba

Jaipur Pink Panthers have been perfect since losing their season-opener against the Gujarat Giants, recording two straight wins. Raider Arjun Deshwal has been a revelation and is one of only two players alongside Naveen Kumar to have registered a Super 10 in every game they have played this season. A Super 10 against his former side will be high on the agenda for Deshwal.

U Mumba have had mixed fortunes so far this season. They have won, lost and tied a game in their opening three matches. A win over the Pink Panthers on Thursday will see them climb to second on the points table, at least momentarily. Fazel Atrachali is yet to make his mark this season, and he will be eager to deliver a big performance to get his season underway.

Jaipur Pink Panthers vs U Mumba head-to-head

Jaipur Pink Panthers and U Mumba have faced off 17 times in vivo Pro Kabaddi League. U Mumba holds a 9-6 lead in their head-to-head matches, with two games finishing in a tie.

Match 22: Haryana Steelers vs Bengaluru Bulls

In their previous outing, the Haryana Steelers snapped their two-game losing streak with a narrow 39-37 win over the Telugu Titans. Rookie all-rounder Meetu was the star of the show for the Steelers. He finished the night with 12 points. He was ably supported by Rohit Gulia (8 points) and veteran Surender Nada (3 points). Haryana will look to string together a run of wins and climb up in the league standings.

Since losing to U Mumba on opening night, the Bengaluru Bulls have played like the team many expected them to be, recording back-to-back wins over the Tamil Thalaivas and defending champions Bengal Warriors. Pawan Sehrawat’s campaign is picking up steam, and he will be eager to build on his 15-point performance against the Warriors. The last time the Bulls skipper played against the Steelers, he set a new vivo PKL record, scoring 39 points. Another big performance from Sehrawat on the cards?
