After a short break, Naveen Kumar and Dabang Delhi K.C. will be back in action in vivo Pro Kabaddi on Wednesday.
They will take on Telugu Titans in our second contest of the day. Before that game, the Puneri Paltan will face the Gujarat Giants.
Check out our preview for both matches:
The Puneri Paltan have had a torrid start to their campaign and have lost four of their five games, all by a margin greater than seven. Coach Anup Kumar’s team is rooted to the bottom of the points table, four points behind the team in 11th. The raiding unit has been the primary cause of their poor form. The Paltan are averaging just 16.6 raid points per game, 0.1 more than the team in last. The Paltan need a quick turnaround, or they risk falling too far behind in the race for a playoff spot.
The Gujarat Giants have won only one of their five matches so far this season but will consider themselves a bit unlucky in that regard. They have tied two games and lost a couple by narrow margins and could have easily ended up on the winning side in all four matches. Coach Manpreet Singh’s young side has been a difficult side to beat this season, but they haven’t been able to close out games, primarily due to the inexperience of some of their stars. They will look to close the gap on the teams above them on the points table with a win on Wednesday.
Puneri Paltan have played eight games against the Gujarat Giants and have won only two, losing the other six.
Match 31: Dabang Delhi K.C. vs. Telugu Titans
Dabang Delhi K.C. can return to the summit of the league table if they manage to avoid defeat against the Telugu Titans on Wednesday. Delhi have won three and tied two of their five matches and remain the last unbeaten team this season. The defence had a poor outing in their previous game against the Tamil Thalaivas, and the raiding unit was heavily reliant on Naveen Kumar delivering consistently. Delhi will want to avoid putting too much pressure on their superstar raider and be more efficient on both sides of the mat.
The Telugu Titans remain the only team without a win this season, but they have come agonizingly close to a victory in all five matches. They have shared the spoiled in two of their five matches and have lost their other three by a collective margin of four points. The Titans have been competitive in every game they’ve played this season but simply haven’t been able to score a victory. They’ll aim to change that on Wednesday.
Through 12 matches, the Titans hold an 8-3 lead over Dabang Delhi in their head-to-head clashes. One game between the two teams finished in a tie.
