Patna Pirates aiming to make it a hattrick of wins when they face Telugu Titans

The weekend is over, but the party will continue in vivo Pro Kabaddi on Monday. 

The first game of our double-header will see the reigning champions, Bengal Warriors, taking on Jaipur Pink Panthers. Later, the in-form Patna Pirates will face the resurgent Telugu Titans.

Match 30: Bengal Warriors vs. Jaipur Pink Panthers

After starting the season with two impressive wins, the Bengal Warriors have slipped to a hattrick of losses in their last three outings. The previous two games have been brutal, with the Warriors first losing by 17 against Dabang Delhi K.C. and then by 14 against Patna Pirates.  The usually sturdy Warriors defence has struggled in the team’s last two outings and will want to get back on track as soon as possible.

The Jaipur Pink Panthers have had an up-and-down campaign so far this season. They have won two and lost two and currently sit ninth in the table, having played a game or two fewer than everyone above them in the league standings, barring the Patna Pirates. Arjun Deshwal has been a revelation for the Pink Panthers, but the rest of the team has struggled to find consistency. The sooner they solve that issue, the quicker they climb on the points table.  

Bengal Warriors vs. Jaipur Pink Panthers head-to-head

Bengal Warriors have played 12 games against the Jaipur Pink Panthers and have won four, losing the other eight.

Match 31: Telugu Titans vs. Patna Pirates

The Telugu Titans came within seconds of beating the Bengaluru Bulls in their previous outing, but a great tackle from Pawan Sehrawat denied them victory. The Titans will take plenty of positives from that performance, particularly the emergence of Ankit Beniwal, who scored his first career Super 10. The raider has scored 19 points in his team’s last two matches, and if he can continue his excellent form, the Titans’ first win may just be around the corner.  

The Patna Pirates have had a terrific start to their campaign and have won three out of their first four matches, losing just one. Their raiding trio of Sachin, Prashanth Kumar Rai and Monu Goyat has been spectacular together and the defence has held its own. The Pirates are emerging as strong contenders to go all the way this season, but they will want to take it one game at a time and focus only on winning on Monday and climbing to second on the points table.

Telugu Titans vs. Patna Pirates head-to-head

Through 17 matches, the Titans hold a 9-7 lead over the Patna Pirates in their head-to-head clashes. One game between the two teams finished in a tie.
