After an exhilarating start to the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 Player Auction that saw Mohammadreza Shadloui and Devank surpass the INR 2 crore mark, Day 2 also sparked bidding wars for Category C and D players.

Aanil Mohan, the all-rounder from Himachal Pradesh, was the most expensive player to be bought on Day 2 after PKL Season 2 champions U Mumba secured his signature for a whopping INR 78 lacs.

PKL Season 6 winner Bengaluru Bulls roped in raider Akash Shinde for INR 53.10 lacs to make him the second most expensive buy on Day 2.

Two-time PKL winners Jaipur Pink Panthers spent 50.10 lacs on raider Uday Parte and bagged all-rounder Nitin Rawal for INR 50 lacs, U Mumba signed raider Sandeep Kumar for INR 49 lacs, while Puneri Paltan roped in all-rounder Gurdeep for INR 47.10 lacs, among other top buys on the second day of the PKL Season 12 auction.

Left cover Dheeraj grabbed the headlines on his PKL auction debut after Bengaluru Bulls bought him for INR 40.20 lacs.

PKL Season 10 winners Puneri Paltan used their Final Bid Match (FBM) card for two seasons to retain all-rounder Mohd Amaan for INR 35 lacs.

PKL Season 7 champions Bengal Warriorz added Himanshu to their raiding unit for INR 39.20 lacs.

Talented raider Neeraj Narwal was snapped up by PKL Season 8 winners Dabang Delhi K.C. for INR 32.60 lacs.

Gujarat Giants roped in left cover Shubham Kumar for INR 27.40 lacs, while Jaipur Pink Panthers acquired the services of right cover Aashish Kumar for INR 27 lacs.

Parvesh Bhainswal rejoined U Mumba for INR 25.10 lacs after the PKL Season 2 champions retained their left cover using their FBM option for one season.

Earlier on Day 2 of the PKL Season 12 auction, Iranian all-rounder Ahmadreza Asgari was the first player sold to Bengaluru Bulls for INR 13 lacs. The Bulls also signed Iranian raiding sensation Alireza Mirzaeian for INR 14 lacs.

Among other overseas players from Category C, Alireza Khalili was roped in by Tamil Thalaivas for INR 30.20 lacs, Telugu Titans snapped up Amirhossein Ejlali for INR 26 lacs and Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi was sold to UP Yoddhas for INR 20 lacs via FBM option for one season. The Yoddhas also signed South Korean raider Dong Geon Lee for INR 13.50 lacs.

Jaipur Pink Panthers bought Iranian raider Ali Samadi Choubtarash for INR 16.20 lacs, while Bangladeshi raider Shahan Sha Mohammed joined Haryana Steelers for INR 13 lacs and Iranian all-rounder Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh was signed by Puneri Paltan for INR 13 lacs.

Korean kabaddi star Jang Kun Lee returned to Bengal Warriorz after the Season 7 champions acquired him for INR 13 lacs. The Warriorz also acquired Omid Khojasteh Mohammadshah for INR 13 lacs.

Reigning champions Haryana Steelers retained Nepali raider Ghanshyam Roka Magar for INR 13 lacs, exercising their FBM card for two seasons.

The Steelers have further bolstered their squad by roping in Rahul Ahri (INR 30 lacs), Ritik (INR 9 lacs), Zubair (INR 9 lacs), Mayank Saini (INR 13 lacs) and also retained Hardeep (INR 13 lacs) via FBM option for two seasons.

Last season’s finalists Patna Pirates also added Iranian defender Amin Ghorbani (INR 13 lacs), Balasaheb Shahaji Jadhav (INR 13 lacs) and raider Mandeep (INR 9 lacs) from Category D on Day 2.

Meanwhile, Dabang K.C. have further reinforced their PKL Season 12 squad with the inclusion of Arkam Shaikh (INR 25.30 lacs), Naveen Rawal (INR 13 lacs), Ashish Sangwan (INR 13 lacs), Saurabh Nandal (INR 13 lacs), Gaurav Chhillar (13 lacs), Akshit Dhull (INR 13 lacs), Anil Gurjar (INR 9 lacs), Vijay (INR 9 lacs), Amit (INR 9 lacs) and Ajinkya Ashok Pawar (13 lacs) on the second day of the auction.

U Mumba have strengthened their squad by further adding Iranian all-rounder Mohammad Ghorbani (INR 13 lacs), right corner Ravi Bhati (INR 13 lacs), Abhimanyu Raghuvanshi (INR 13 lacs) and Amarjeet (INR 9 lacs).

On the other hand, Telugu Titans bought Ganesh Parki (INR 13 lacs), Jai Bhagwan (INR 13 lacs), Rahul Dagar (INR 9 lacs), Aman (INR 9 lacs), retained Ashish Narwal (INR 15.17 lacs) and Manjeet (13 lacs) using FBM cards for one season each on Day 2.

Puneri Paltan also snapped up Milad Mohajer (INR 13.50 lacs) and later signed Stuwart Singh (INR 13 lacs).

Ahead of the new season, Bengal Warriorz, Gujarat Giants and Bengaluru Bulls were the other three busy teams on the second day of the auction.

The Warriorz added Ashish Malik (INR 13.10 lacs), Parteek (INR 13 lacs), Sandeep (INR 9 lacs), Ankit (INR 9 lacs), Harander (INR 9 lacs), Shivansh Thakur (INR 13 lacs), Moolchandra Singh (INR 9 lacs) and also retained Mayur Kadam using their FBM option for one season.

Two-time PKL finalists Gujarat Giants roped in Ajith V Kumar (INR 36.30 lacs), Milad Jabbari (INR 13.60 lacs), Nitin Panwar (INR 13.70 lacs), Rohit Kumar (INR 13 lacs), Lucky Sharma (INR 19.50 lacs), Himanshu Yadav (INR 9 lacs), Amit (INR 9 lacs), Sumit (INR 9 lacs), K Harish (INR 9 lacs), Visvanth (13 lacs) and Ankit (9 lacs) for the upcoming season.

Bengaluru Bulls further bolstered their PKL Season 12 squad by signing Manish (INR 13 lacs), Sachin (INR 9 lacs), Sahil Rane (INR 9 lacs), Shubham Rahate (INR 9 lacs), Shubham Bitake (INR 9 lacs), Amit Singh Thakur (INR 9 lacs) and Mahipal (INR 13 lacs) to wrap up the Season 12 auction.

Pardeep Narwal, Sahil Gulia, Siddharth Desai, Vikas Khandola, Rinku Narwal, Sandeep Dhull, Chandran Ranjit and Shrikant Jadhav were some of the players that went unsold in the Pro Kabaddi Season 12 Player Auction.

Now that all the teams have assembled their squads with a good mix of seasoned and young players, the Pro Kabaddi is all geared up for another blockbuster season ahead.
