The much-anticipated third season of Pro Kabaddi made a remarkable comeback after two ground-breaking campaigns. Patna Pirates became the third franchise to lift the Pro Kabaddi title. The same side would then go on to become the most successful team in PKL history. Pro Kabaddi Season 3 showcased some terrific comebacks and ties which got the fans on the edge of their seat.

Here's a list of five of the most thrilling matches that set the kabaddi mat on fire.

5) Match 51: Telugu Titans 42-41 Patna Pirates

The 'Dubki King' Pardeep Narwal scored 24 points in this enthralling match, but it was the 'Showman' Rahul Chaudhari who had the last laugh. Telugu Titans had a comfortable 7-point lead in the 35th minute when the scoreline was 37-30. On the other side, Pardeep Narwal was adamant to make a comeback for his side.

Patna Pirates' star raider scored 12 points in the last five minutes of the match including three super raids. However, his heroics were not enough as Rohit Baliyan's crucial bonus point in the penultimate raid took the Titans over the line.

4) Match 47: Dabang Delhi 21-21 Jaipur Pink Panthers

It was a low-scoring affair when Dabang Delhi hosted Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Thyagaraj Sports complex. Leading by 19-14, Dabang Delhi looked favourites to seal this game. The turning point of the match came in the 37th minute when Ran Singh scored a super raid to level the scores at 19-19.

Selvamani's 2-point raid gave the lead back to the hosts, but it was Rajesh Narwal who saved the day for the Pink Panthers with two back-to-back successful raids.

3) Match 22: Puneri Paltan 30-30 Patna Pirates

It was a neck-and-neck battle between a rejuvenated Puneri Paltan side and Patna Pirates. Pardeep Narwal continued his good form in PKL Season 3 with another Super 10. Patna dominated the game in the first half, but Manjeet Chhillar & Co. bounced back in some style.

With only two minutes left on the clock, the Patna Pirates had this game in their kitty. Taking on a strong Patna’s defence, Ajay Thakur rose to the occasion and bagged two points to tie the game in the last minute.

2) Match 25: Jaipur Pink Panthers 25-27 Telugu Titans

Rahul Chaudhari and Jasvir Singh, two raiding sensations, were not playing in this match but it turned out to be one for the ages anyway. Jaipur Pink Panthers looked comfortable in the driving seat, leading by 23-18 with only three minutes left on the clock. It was Prashant Kumar Rai who scored a crucial two-point raid to start the comeback for the Titans.

Telugu Titans had momentum on their side when their skipper, Meraj Sheykh, scored another brace to level the scores at 23-23. Prashant Kumar Rai then inflicted a last-minute All-out to register a thumping victory for the Titans.

1) Match 20: U Mumba 29-28 Bengaluru Bulls

This breathtaking encounter between two PKL heavyweights was arguably the match of the season. U Mumba missed the service of their skipper Anup Kumar, but it was young Rishank Devadiga who amassed 8 points to beat the Bulls. Trailing by 21-28 in the 36th minute, a victory seemed far-fetched for U Mumba.

What followed was a terrific comeback by the reigning champions led by their defence. U Mumba went on to score 8 successive points while the Bulls failed to bag a single point. Surjeet Narwal failed to guide his side to the finishing line in the last-minute raid as he got tackled by U Mumba's defence, which led to an All-out.
