The last two seasons of vivo Pro Kabaddi have seen the rise of many youngsters. The story of one such ascent has been that of Pawan Sehrawat. Pawan’s agility, coupled with an almost impeccable timing helped him bag 642 points in the last two seasons alone. Only the second player to record a 300-raid point campaign in Season 7, Sehrawat is easily one of the most exciting players of PKL. But the Hi-Flyer’s journey to superstardom had humble beginnings, with just 74 points to his name across his first three seasons - Season 3 and 4 with Bengaluru Bulls and the fifth season with Gujarat Fortunegiants. It was only during his second stint at Bengaluru Bulls in Season 5 that turned heads towards the youngster.

Bengaluru Bulls captain Rohit Kumar and coach Randhir Singh had their eyes on Pawan before scooping him up at Season 6 Auction for a 50 lakh+ price tag - a bargain that contributed to the team’s first trophy. Pawan was made a permanent feature in the side - a move that also led to a revelation of the match-winning duo - Rohit Kumar and Pawan Sehrawat. This combination of the two stalwarts has produced incredible results for them with their combined points tally reaching more than 900 points in just the last two seasons!

When asked about which matches remain close to his heart, Pawan recalls the Season 6 Final where he scored 22 points, the highest for any player in a PKL final. Pawan recalls, “As an athlete when you know that you have significantly contributed to the team’s success, the trophy-winning feeling is truly phenomenal.” As of today, Pawan Sehrawat stands tall with 716 points under his belt and a promise to make himself even better. With such breathtaking skills and techniques, we cannot wait to see what he has in store for us.
