The second Inter Zone Challenge Week of VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 5 commences on Tuesday as the league enters Day 4 of the Kolkata leg at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium. Match 61: Patna Pirates vs Jaipur Pink Panthers

Head-to-Head: Patna Pirates 6-4 Jaipur Pink Panthers

The Pirates come into the match following a defeat against Bengal and will be looking to sign off from the Kolkata leg with a win against the Panthers. Patna have been at their menacing best in attack with Dubki King Pardeep Narwal, Monu Goyat and Vinod Kumar, all shining for them. However, it is their defence that will need some fine-tuning having thrown away sizeable leads on more than one occasion this season.

The Panthers, on the other hand, will be in a confident mood having beaten Zone A leaders Gujarat Fortunegiants in their previous match. What’s been all the more impressive about their recent performances is the fact that they’ve been besting opponents without their captain Manjeet Chhillar, who has been sidelined due to injury. Veteran raider Jasvir Singh has guided the team brilliantly in the absence of One-Man-Army Manjeet and has also been well supported by Pawan Kumar and Sunil Siddhgavali in attack and defence respectively.

Match 62: Bengal Warriors vs Haryana Steelers

Bengal Warriors have had a good start to their home leg with two wins and a draw from their first three matches. They will be hoping to stay unbeaten at home and for that they will need the likes of Maninder Singh, Jang Kun Lee, Bhupender Singh and Vinod Kumar to continue contributing consistently. Skipper Surjeet Singh and Ran Singh will also need to make their presence felt in defence against a tough team on Tuesday.

The Steelers demonstrated their mettle with a brilliant comeback win against the Fortunegiants in their last match and will be confident about bringing an end to Bengal’s undefeated run at home. Prashanth Kumar Rai will be the cynosure of all eyes after his jaw-dropping performance against Gujarat that saw him bag a whopping 16 points. He will be supported by Wazir Singh and Surjeet Singh in attack as well as skipper Surender Nada and Mohit Chhillar in defence.
