The Bengaluru Bulls climbed to second on the vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 8 points table after an emphatic 42-28 win over the Haryana Steelers. Pawan Sehrawat led the way with 22 points, while More G came off the bench to score a High 5 for the Bulls.

The Steelers raced to a 4-1 lead courtesy of three quick points from their defence. But the Bulls charged back with six unanswered points, with skipper Sehrawat responsible for four of those, to leave the Steelers with just a solitary man on the mat. The Bulls defence allowed Meetu to pick the bonus but pinned him down to inflict the game’s first All Out and take a 10-5 lead.

Sehrawat continued to torment the Steelers’ defence, helping the Bulls extend their lead to eight. Surender Nada finally managed to send Sehrawat to the bench with an assertive Back Hold that ended the Bulls’ relentless charge. Chandran Ranjit scored the final point of the half to ensure Bengaluru went into the half leading by six.

Sehrawat and the Bulls defence helped their side embark on a 7-1 run at the start of the second half to leave the Steelers with just a couple of players on the mat. Ashish’s two-point raid ensured the Steelers avoided the All Out, but that proved to be only momentary respite, as Sehrawat and the Bulls defence ensured they got rid of the final two Steelers’ players on the mat and took a 13-point lead.

The Sehrawat show continued, and the Bulls extended their lead to 14, but a couple of two-point raids from Meetu and Rohit Gulia cut the Steelers’ deficit to 10 and left Bengaluru with just three on the mat. The Steelers’ hopes of a comeback were quickly dashed by Super Tackle from More G, followed by Sehrawat’s successful Do-or-die raid. That ensured the Bulls maintain their double-digit lead.

Having already made his mark on offence, Sehrawat then contributed on defence with a Super Tackle, ensuring a massive win for his side.
