With the conclusion of the eighth leg of VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 5 at Ranchi on Thursday, today the action shifts to the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in Delhi. Dabang Delhi K.C. start their home campaign against U Mumba in the only match of the day. With six games lined up in seven days for Delhi, they would like to start off on a good note on Friday, and then repair their campaign over the course of the home leg. Here’s how both the teams stack up against each other.

Match 89 (Zone A): Dabang Delhi K.C. vs U Mumba

Head-to-head: Dabang Delhi K.C. 2-8 U Mumba

Dabang Delhi K.C. start their home campaign tonight as the bottom-placed team in Zone A with 28 points from 12 matches. A successful home campaign can very well put them back in contention for the play-offs. Nilesh Shinde was rested for their last two matches and is set to return to take charge of Delhi’s defence. Meraj Sheykh has been inconsistent so far but his talent is undeniable and in front of the home support, playing alongside Abolfazl Maghsodlou and Rohit Baliyan, he can be expected to return to form and help his team win.

U Mumba, on the other hand, are reeling from two consecutive losses at the hands of Zone A toppers Gujarat Fortunegiants. Sitting fourth in their Zone with 39 points from 15 matches, Captain Cool Anup Kumar’s men need to get their confidence back. Kashiling Adake and Shrikant Jadhav have been impressive in the attack but the defence has somewhat failed the Season 2 champions. Anup’s all-round display has been a plus for his team but to get back to winning ways the team needs to play together as a unit.
