Day 55 of vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 brings us two terrific contests at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. In the first match of the evening, Gujarat Giants will square off against Jaipur Pink Panthers, whereas Puneri Paltan will meet U.P. Yoddhas in the second match.

Here are our previews for Friday’s matches.

Match 128: Gujarat Giants vs Jaipur Pink Panthers

Gujarat Giants have been in excellent form of late and have clinched four wins in a row. The Giants have nine wins, 11 losses and a tie in this season. Parteek Dahiya and Rakesh have been tremendous for the Giants in attack with 166 and 131 raid points. They have got support from Chandran Ranjit who has amassed 94 raid points. Mahendra Rajput has looked good for his 54 raid points. In defence, Arkam Shaikh has been the top tackler for the Giants with 37 tackle points. Rinku Narwal and Sourav Gulia are not far behind Shaikh as they have added 35 tackle points apiece for Gujarat Giants this season.

Jaipur Pink Panthers, on the other hand, have been at the top of the points table with 15 wins and six losses. Arjun Deshwal has been the most dominating raider so far in vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 with 269 raid points. The Top Cats’ raiding unit also consists of V Ajith Kumar and Rahul Chaudhari who have made their contributions with 81 and 56 raid points respectively. Bhavani Rajput has chipped in with 36 raid points. Defensively, Ankush has been the star performer with 76 tackle points. He has got aid from his captain Sunil Kumar who has scored 58 tackle points, while Sahul Kumar has been decent for his 42 tackle points.       

Gujarat Giants vs Jaipur Pink Panthers head-to-head

Gujarat Giants and Jaipur Pink Panthers have met 11 times in vivo Pro Kabaddi. Gujarat Giants have won six matches, while Jaipur Pink Panthers have won four matches. One match ended in a tie.

Match 129: Puneri Paltan vs U.P. Yoddhas

Puneri Paltan have won 14 matches, lost five and tied two so far. The Paltan have got the likes of Aslam Inamdar (138 raid points), Akash Shinde (131 raid points) and Mohit Goyat (120 raid points). These raiders have added firepower to the Paltan’s offence while Pankaj Mohite made his presence felt with 37 raid points. As far as the defence is concerned, Fazel Atrachali has looked rock solid with 51 tackle points. Sombir (35 tackle points), Abinesh Nadarajan (29 tackle points) and Sanket Sawant (28 tackle points) have helped their captain in the defence. 

Meanwhile, U.P. Yoddhas have secured 11 wins, faced eight losses and played two ties in the tournament. Pardeep Narwal has been a force to reckon with 208 raid points. Surender Gill has also looked impressive for his 132 raid points. The young Rohit Tomar has been effective as a raider and has amassed 63 raid points. On the defence front, Sumit and Ashu Singh have been the two pillars for the Yoddhas with 49 and 47 tackle points. Gurdeep and Nitesh Kumar have also added value to the squad with 35 and 32 tackle points respectively.   

Puneri Paltan vs U.P. Yoddhas head-to-head

Puneri Paltan and U.P. Yoddhas have played nine matches against each other. Out of these, Puneri Paltan have won four, whereas U.P. Yoddhas have won five matches.
