Day 42 of vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 brings us a triple header from the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. Gujarat Giants will collide against Dabang Delhi K.C. in the first game of the night, whereas Jaipur Pink Panthers will meet Tamil Thalaivas in the second and Haryana Steelers face Patna Pirates in the last game.

Match 98: Gujarat Giants vs Dabang Delhi K.C.

Gujarat Giants have secured five wins, suffered nine losses and played out a tie so far. Rakesh has been in formidable raiding form with 126 raid points for the Giants, meaning a lot depends on how he fares in the match. He has got good assistance from all-rounder Parteek Dhaiya and captain Chandran Ranjit who have scored 83 and 78 raid points respectively. Soura Gulia and Arkam Shaikh have been the leading defenders for the Giants with 25 and 24 tackle points respectively. Rinku Narwal has also contributed 22 tackle points for the Giants. 

On the other hand, Dabang Delhi K.C. have eight wins and eight losses this season. Their captain Naveen Kumar is leading the team with 172 raid points. Ashu Malik has complemented Naveen well with 101 raid points. Another young raider, Manjeet has played his part with 54 raid points for Dabang Delhi K.C.. In defence, Vishal has been their best player with 40 tackle points. Krishan has also been an asset in defence with 33 tackle points. Sandeep Dhull and Amit Hooda’s experience can also come in handy for the Dabang Delhi K.C defence.

Match 99: Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Tamil Thalaivas

Despite a loss in the last game, Jaipur Pink Panthers are in the top three in the standings with 10 wins and six losses this season. Arjun Deshwal has shown his dominance on the mat with 199 raid points. Rahul Chaudhari and V Ajith Kumar have also assisted Deshwal by scoring 51 and 39 raid points respectively, while Bhavani Rajput has managed 34 raid points. In defence, Ankush has been their main man as he has scored 56 tackle points. Captain Sunil Kumar has also played a crucial role in defence by adding 46 tackle points, while Sahul Kumar has scored 27 tackle points.

Tamil Thalaivas are unbeaten in their last three matches and they have seven wins, six losses and three ties so far. Narender has been the team’s biggest attacking threat and has scored 169 raid points. Ajinkya Pawar has helped Narender with 64 raid points, while Himanshu Singh has looked good in bits and pieces for his 32 raid points. As far as their defence is concerned, Sagar has been reliable for the Thalaivas with 51 tackle points. The Thalaivas captain has got support from Sahil Gulia who has scored 41 tackle points, while M. Abishek has picked up 28 tackle points.

Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Tamil Thalaivas head-to-head

Jaipur Pink Panthers and Tamil Thalaivas have met on seven occasions. Jaipur Pink Panthers have won thrice while Tamil Thalaivas have won twice. Two matches finished in ties. 

Match 100: Haryana Steelers vs Patna Pirates

Haryana Steelers have struggled of late and have five wins, nine losses and two ties. In attack, Manjeet and Meetu Sharma have taken up the scoring responsibility for the Steelers with 120 and 113 raid points, while K. Prapanjan has been their third best raider with 38 raid points this season. As far as their defence goes, Jaideep Dahiya has been leading the Steelers’ defence with 45 tackle points and Mohit Nandal has assisted him with 29 tackle points. Amirhossein Bastami and Nitin Rawal have contributed with 21 and 20 tackle points respectively.

Patna Pirates, on the other hand, head into this game after winning a close encounter against Telugu Titans. The Pirates have seven wins, six losses and three ties so far. The Pirates’ offence mainly revolves around Sachin and Rohit Gulia. Sachin has been the shining star for the team with 144 raid points while Gulia has supported him by scoring 103 raid points. On the defensive front, Mohammadreza Chiyaneh looks in sublime form with 57 tackle points, making him the highest tackle points scorer in the league. Sunil has proved his mettle with 37 tackle points, while captain Neeraj Kumar has got 24 tackle points. 

Haryana Steelers vs Patna Pirates head-to-head

Haryana Steelers and Patna Pirates have faced each other in eight games. Out of which, Haryana Steelers have won three matches whereas Patna Pirates have won four games. One game resulted in a tie.
