On Friday, the vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 action moves to Hyderabad with a triple header at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. In the first match of the night, Puneri Paltan will face Haryana Steelers, while Bengal Warriors square off against Telugu Titans in the second and Gujarat Giants meet Bengaluru Bulls in the final game of the night.

Match 84: Puneri Paltan vs Haryana Steelers

Puneri Paltan have played some exceptional kabaddi in the previous two legs this season and are placed in second position in the standings with eight wins, four losses and two ties. The duo of Aslam Inamdar and Mohit Goyat have been formidable for Puneri Paltan and have amassed 102 and 98 raid points respectively. Apart from Inamdar and Goyat, Akash Shinde has also been impressive with 70 raid points. In defence, Fazel Atrachali is leading the team by example with 37 tackle points. He has been supported by Sombir and Sanket Sawant, who have scored 26 and 16 tackle points respectively.

Haryana Steelers, on the other hand, have five wins, seven losses and two ties. Manjeet and Meetu Sharma have been the backbone of the raiding department for the Steelers as they have scored 111 and 105 raid points respectively. The Steelers have also got the likes of K. Prapanjan and Vinay and they will look to contribute to the best of their ability in attack. In defence, Jaideep Dahiya has been the most consistent defender with 41 tackle points and Mohit Nandal has complemented him well with 26 tackle points. All-rounder Nitin Rawal has also added good value to the team with 19 tackle points, while Amirhossein Bastami has managed 17 tackle points. 

Puneri Paltan vs Haryana Steelers head-to-head

Puneri Paltan and Haryana Steelers have faced each other in 11 vivo PKL matches. Puneri Paltan have won six matches while Haryana Steelers have won four games. One match ended in a tie.

Match 85: Bengal Warriors vs Telugu Titans

Bengal Warriors have secured six wins, suffered five losses and played out two ties so far. Maninder Singh has been the biggest strength for the Warriors with 147 raid points. The Warriors skipper has got support from Shrikant Jadhav who has amassed 61 raid points. Experienced all-rounder Deepak Hooda has been handy in offence as well with 41 raid points. As far as the defence is concerned, Girish Maruti Ernak has been an impactful defender for the Warriors with 37 tackle points. Ernak has been aided in defence by Shubham Shinde and Vaibhav Garje who have scored 25 and 24 tackle points respectively.

Meanwhile, Telugu Titans have managed one win and suffered 13 losses in the campaign so far and will look for a change in fortunes in front of their fans in Hyderabad. Siddharth Desai has been the most reliable raider for the Titans with 110 raid points. Vinay has chipped in with 37 raid points, while Monu Goyat has scored 32 raid points for them. Their defence looks strong on paper with some well-known defenders in the Titans’ lineup but they haven’t lived up to expectations. Vishal Bhardwaj (28 tackle points), Parvesh Bhainswal (25 tackle points) and Surjeet Singh (17 tackle points) will all look to do better.

Bengal Warriors vs Telugu Titans head-to-head

Bengal Warriors and Telugu Titans have squared off in 19 matches. Bengal Warriors have got the upper hand with 11 wins whereas Telugu Titans have three wins. Five games between the teams concluded in ties.

Match 86: Gujarat Giants vs Bengaluru Bulls

Gujarat Giants are currently second from bottom in the standings with five wins, seven losses and a tie. Rakesh has been the go-to man for the Giants in offence with 125 raid points. All-rounder Parteek Dhaiya and captain Chandran Ranjit have backed up Rakesh by scoring 63 and 60 raid points respectively, while Mahendra Rajput has managed 34 raid points. As far as their defence goes, Sourav Gulia has been the top defender for the Giants with 25 tackle points. Rinku Narwal and Arkam Shaikh have managed 19 tackle points each.

Bengaluru Bulls are on top of the points table with nine wins, four losses and a tie. Bharat has been the lead raider for the Bulls with 159 raid points. Vikash Kandola has supported Bharat in attack with 79 raid points, while Neeraj Narwal has looked good of late and has 55 raid points. In defence, Saurabh Nandal has been the top defender for the Bulls with 47 tackle points. Aman has looked in good form in recent matches and has managed 31 tackle points so far. Captain Mahender Singh has also played an important role in the team’s success with 25 tackle points.

Gujarat Giants vs Bengaluru Bulls head-to-head

Gujarat Giants and Bengaluru Bulls have met in 10 matches. Out of these, Gujarat Giants have won five whereas Bengaluru Bulls have won four matches. One match finished in a tie.
