The action from vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 at the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi in Pune continues with two exciting matches on the cards for Sunday. It will be U Mumba against Patna Pirates in the first match of the evening while Tamil Thalaivas face  Bengaluru Bulls in the second.

Match 76: U Mumba vs Patna Pirates

U Mumba have had a topsy-turvy season with seven wins and five losses so far. They won the Maharashtra derby in their last match and will head into the upcoming contest with great confidence. They will depend on Guman Singh to lead the offence and add to his 74 raid points this season. The likes of Ashish and Jai Bhagwan have registered 61 and 45 raid points respectively. Defensively, Surinder Singh and Rinku have been their best tacklers with 31 tackle points each, while Mohit and Harendra Kumar have also contributed 23 and 15 tackle points.

Patna Pirates, on the other hand, are in great form at the moment and they head into the upcoming encounter with five successive wins. They have six wins, four losses and two ties in the ongoing campaign. While facing U Mumba, the three-time champions will hope that their raiding duo of Sachin (112 raid points) and Rohit Gulia (78 raid points) do most of the damage in offence. On the defensive front, Sunil has been the Pirates’ best performer with 33 tackle points, while Mohammadreza Chiyaneh and captain Neeraj Kumar have chipped in with 31 and 21 tackle points respectively.

Match 77: Tamil Thalaivas vs Bengaluru Bulls

Despite a narrow defeat in their last outing, Tamil Thalaivas will believe in themselves having been in good form of late. They have five wins, five losses and two ties so far, and you can rest assured that they will be keen to avenge their defeat to the Bulls from earlier in the campaign. To beat the Bulls, they will need their lead raider Narender (125 raid points) to fire on all cylinders, while Ajinkya Pawar (42 raid points) and Himanshu Singh (26 raid points) will need to support him. As far as their defence goes, Sagar has been their best tackler with 36 tackle points. Sahil Gulia and M. Abishek have also played their part in defence with 27 and 25 tackle points respectively.

Bengaluru Bulls, on the other hand, are near the summit of the standings with seven wins, four losses and a tie in Season 9. They will be hoping that Bharat can continue demonstrating his fine attacking form this season as he looks to add to his 129 raid points. Bharat will be hoping for support in attack from Viskah Kandola (76 raid points) and Neeraj Narwal (40 raid points). In defence, Saurabh Nandal has been on top of his game and has accounted for 39 tackle points. He has been aided in defence by Mahender Singh (24 tackle points) and Aman (23 tackle points).

Tamil Thalaivas vs Bengaluru Bulls head-to-head

Bengaluru Bulls and Tamil Thalaivas have played each other 11 times with the former winning nine games and the latter winning twice.
