Friday night’s triple panga at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru promises to be exciting for fans of vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9. U Mumba will face Haryana Steelers, Puneri Paltan take on Bengal Warriors and Patna Pirates go up against Dabang Delhi K.C. in the last match.

Here are our previews for Day 13.

Match 30: U Mumba vs Haryana Steelers

U Mumba lost their last match against Puneri Paltan and have a record of two losses and just as many wins from their four games so far. The Season 2 champions need to improve their overall game, which is highlighted by the fact that their best raider Guman Singh has 28 raid points after four games. Ashish and Jai Bhagwan have been the next best raiders for them this season with 20 points each. U Mumba need to step up defensively as well which is emphasized by the fact that Rinku with 12 tackle points is their top tackler. Surinder Singh and Kiran Magar have been their next best defenders with eight and six tackle points respectively.

Like U Mumba, Haryana Steelers will also enter this contest after losing their last match. The Steelers, in fact, have lost their last two games after winning their first two matches of the season and will be keen to return to winning ways. Their lead raider Manjeet has done well to score 37 raid points and he’s found decent support in the form of Meetu (25 raid points) but needs some more help from the rest of his teammates in offence for a change in fortunes for the team. Defensively, Mohit and Jaideep Dahiya have been the team’s best defenders with 11 and 10 tackle points respectively, while all-rounder Nitin Rawal has also scored six tackle points.

Match 31: Puneri Paltan vs Bengal Warriors

After being winless in their first three games of the season, Puneri Paltan climbed up the standings pretty quickly following two successive wins. Aslam Inamdar has been the team’s main raider with 50 raid points so far, while Mohit Goyat has been their secondary raider and has done well to score 35 raid points. Akash Shinde has been Puneri Paltan’s third best attacker in terms of scoring points with 13 raid points. On the defensive side, Puneri Paltan’s defenders seem to be coming into their own with Fazel Atrachali marshalling the troops. The Iranian has been the team’s top defender with nine tackle points, while Gaurav Khatri has accounted for eight tackle points. Mohit Goyat, Badal Singh and Mohammad Nabibakhsh have also scored five tackle points each for the team.

Bengal Warriors, on the other hand, will be eager to bounce back after a loss to Jaipur Pink Panthers in their last game. The Warriors captain Maninder Singh had a quiet outing against the Panthers but he’s still been the team’s standout raider this season with 43 raid points. Maninder has been well supported by Shrikant Jadhav, who has amassed 30 raid points in Season 9, but they need more help from all-rounders Deepak Hooda and Manoj Gowda, both of whom haven’t managed to produce their best in attack yet. On the defensive front, Girish Maruti Ernak has been the pick of their tacklers with 20 tackle points, while Vaibhav Garje and Shubham Shinde have accounted for 12 and 11 tackle points respectively.

Match 32: Patna Pirates vs Dabang Delhi K.C.

Patna Pirates are the only team yet to win a game in vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9. The three-time champions have tied one and lost four of their games so far. They need both their defence and attack to stand up and be counted in the upcoming game as they target a cohesive performance to get their first win of the campaign. While Sachin and Rohit Gulia have done well so far by contributing 40 and 34 raid points respectively, they need the rest of their teammates to up the ante and have more of an impact in attack. As far as defending goes, Sunil has been their most threatening tackler with 16 tackle points. The Pirates will also be hoping that Mohammadreza Chiyaneh finds form soon and replicates the performances that made him the top defender in Season 8.

Dabang Delhi K.C., meanwhile, are unbeaten this season having won each of their five matches so far. Their captain and talisman Naveen Kumar has been in sensational form having registered 68 raid points and five Super 10s in five matches this season. Naveen has also been helped by Manjeet, who has chipped in with crucial points when needed and has 31 raid points to his name already in Season 9. The defending champions’ defence have also made their presence felt on the mat. Krishan has scored 18 tackle points and is their best performing defender, while the likes of Vishal and Ravi Kumar have managed 15 and 11 tackle points respectively.
