Meraj Sheykh and Vishal Mane starred in offence and defence respectively and helped Dabang Delhi K.C. beat Telugu Titans by a scoreline of 34-29 at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in Delhi. With this win, Dabang Delhi K.C. moved to third spot in the Zone A standings, three points clear of Puneri Paltan with two games in hand.

Dabang Delhi K.C. came flying out of the gates, building a 7-2 lead in just the seventh minute of the contest, courtesy of two tackle points from Vishal Mane and two raid points from Chandran Ranjit as they looked to enforce an early All Out. In attempting to tackle the last man, Dabang Delhi K.C. defence committed high up the mat and ended up conceding a two-point raid to Rahul Chaudhari. But soon after, Sheykh got a two-point raid himself to reduce Telugu Titans down to just a solitary man yet again and this time, Rajesh Narwal managed to dash Chaudhari out of bounds and enforce the All Out.

Mane continued his solid night and tackled Chaudhari yet again to give his side a 15-8 lead in the match. Ranjit added three more raid points to his tally, getting a bonus point first and following it up with a two-point raid. Naveen Kumar and Sheykh added a raid point each, split by Mane’s fourth tackle point of the night, pushing Dabang Delhi K.C.’s advantage into double figures for the first time in the match. Kamal Singh’s two-point raid finally managed to curb Dabang Delhi K.C.’s five-point run and were also the last points scored in the half as the teams went into the break with the home side leading 21-11.

The second half started on the wrong foot for Telugu Titans as both their corners, Abozar Mohajermighani and Vishal Bhardwaj, stepped out of bounds before making contact with the raider rendering them out and reducing the team down to just two on the mat. Sheykh made short work of those two players in his raid, getting a touch on both and escaping to the midline to inflict a second All Out on Telugu Titans and giving his side a 27-14 lead. With the team trailing by 13, Rakshith scored three quick raid points and was supported by Farhad Milaghardan as Telugu Titans outscored Dabang Delhi K.C. 5-2 after the All Out sparking hope of a comeback.

In the 36th minute, Chaudhari sent both Dabang Delhi K.C. corners, Joginder Singh Narwal and Ravinder Pahal, to the bench in quick succession reducing the home team down to just three men. With the Super Tackle on, Mane pounced on Chaudhari from his blindside and managed to stop the raider in his tracks to score two crucial points for his side. Substitute Mohsen Maghsoudlou tackled Naveen to revive Chaudhari, who went in to raid and was Super Tackled yet again, this time by substitute Satpal, giving Dabang Delhi K.C. a 34-23 lead. This was the Right Corner’s third Super Tackle in two matches.

With victory out of sight, Telugu Titans aimed to bring down the deficit under seven and managed to do so in style. Maghsoudlou’s touch point was followed by the defence tackling Sheykh, leaving the home team with just two men on the mat. Chaudhari went in and quickly got a touch point on Mane and the defence managed to tackle Ranjit, inflicting an All Out on Dabang Delhi K.C. with the last play of the match and reducing the margin of defeat to just 5.
