The action from vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 at the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi in Pune continues with two exciting matches in store for Wednesday. It will be Bengaluru Bulls against Haryana Steelers in the first match of the evening while Tamil Thalaivas face Puneri Paltan in the second.

Match 68: Bengaluru Bulls vs Haryana Steelers

After successive losses in their last two outings, Bengaluru Bulls will be eager to return to winning ways. The Bulls have won six, lost four and tied one match so far, and they will be keen to get the better of the Steelers after losing to them earlier this season. To beat Haryana Steelers, they will need their main raiders Bharat (125 raid points) and Vikash Kandola (74 raid points) to be on top of their game. Defensively, Saurabh Nandal (36 tackle points), Aman (20 tackle points) and Mahender Singh (19 tackle points) will be hoping to dominate the Steelers’ raiders.

Haryana Steelers, meanwhile, will also be looking to bounce back after suffering a loss in their previous game. They have won four, lost five and tied twice this season but they can take confidence from their win against the Bulls earlier in the campaign. Meetu Sharma and Manjeet will be leading the attack for the Steelers against the Bulls. While Meetu Sharma has managed 89 raid points this season, Manjeet has scored 79 raid points. Defensively, Jaideep Dahiya with 31 tackle points has been the team’s go-to tackler, while Mohit Nandal has backed him up with 24 tackle points. All-rounder Nitin Rawal and Amirhossein Bastami have chipped in with 16 and 15 tackle points respectively.

Match 69: Tamil Thalaivas vs Puneri Paltan

Tamil Thalaivas’ resurgence after a slow start to the season has been nothing short of breathtaking. The Thalaivas are unbeaten in Pune with four wins and a tie in their last five matches in the league. Their last win, in fact, came against Puneri Paltan when they edged to a 35-34 win. They will aim to continue their fine form and hope that Narender, who has been the team’s go-to raider with 115 raid points, can deliver on the mat. Raiders Ajinkya Pawar (37 raid points) and Himanshu Singh (26 raid points) will also have a role to play. In defence, skipper Sagar has been their top performer with 32 tackle points. He has been supported by Sahil Gulia (24 tackle points) and M. Abishek (20 tackle points).

Puneri Paltan, on the other hand, will want to set the record straight after a narrow loss to the Thalaivas in their last match. Currently sitting at the top of the standings, Puneri Paltan have won six games, suffered three losses and played out two ties. They will back themselves to beat Tamil Thalaivas at the second time of asking this season, especially with raiders Aslam Inamdar (84 raid points) and Mohit Goyat (78 raid points) looking in fine form, while Akash Shinde has also chipped in with 49 raid points. On the defensive front, Fazel Atrachali has been their top tackler with 30 tackle points. Sombir, Sanket Sawant and Gaurav Khatri have contributed 21, 12 and 10 tackle points respectively.

Tamil Thalaivas vs Puneri Paltan Panthers head-to-head

Tamil Thalaivas and Puneri Paltan have played each other seven times. Out of which, Tamil Thalaivas have won thrice and Puneri Paltan have won twice, while two games ended in ties.
