Another last raid thriller in VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 7 saw Bengal Warriors and Dabang Delhi K.C. share the points after a 30-30 tie at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Saturday. Bengal Warriors’ K. Prapanjan and Dabang Delhi K.C.’s Naveen Kumar scored Super 10s for their sides but an error in judgement from the former in the last raid of the match resulted in the tie.

K. Prapanjan and Naveen Kumar scored Super 10s in Match 46.

Dabang Delhi K.C.  got off to a fine start through Chandran Ranjit’s Super Raid in the team’s very first raid of the match. Naveen Kumar then put in back-to-back successful raids to reduce Bengal Warriors down to a single player on the mat. Captain Joginder Narwal made short work of his counterpart Maninder Singh to inflict an All-Out just four minutes into the contest and give his team a 9-4 lead.

Bengal Warriors struck back through K. Prapanjan and Rinku Narwal, who sent Ranjit and Meraj Sheykh to the bench in quick time. But Joginder was still on the mat for Dabang Delhi K.C. and he combined with fellow Corner Ravinder Pahal to keep the pressure on.

Prapanjan, though, was relentless and got a touch point on Saeid Ghaffari to reduce Dabang Delhi K.C. to three on the mat. After two successful bonus attempts by Naveen Kumar, Joginder Super Tackled Prapanjan to help his team take an 18-10 lead going into halftime.

Naveen Kumar top-scored in the match with 11 points to his name.

Dabang Delhi K.C.’s Vijay, who scored the last point of the first half, also opened the scoring in the second half by tackling Mohammad Nabibakhsh. A two-point raid from Naveen then gave Dabang Delhi K.C. a 21-13 lead.

Prapanjan made sure the points keep coming for Bengal Warriors before Ranjit escaped his Diving Ankle Hold attempt to send the raider to the bench. However, Bengal Warriors responded with a Super Tackle on Naveen before substitute Sukesh Hegde escaped Vijay’s Ankle Hold attempt and also got a touch on Ghaffari to make it a four-point game.

Nabibakhsh then came into his own to first send Pahal and then Joginder to the bench and reduce Dabang Delhi K.C. to a single player on the mat. Ranjit delayed the All-Out with a touch point on Baldev Singh but it was eventually inflicted in the thirteenth minute to tie the scores at 25-25.

Prapanjan continued his good work on the night and put in a Super Raid once Dabang Delhi K.C. reassembled on the mat. He reached his Super 10 in the 17th minute of the match. But Naveen kept the fight alive for Dabang Delhi K.C. and scored his Super 10 in the immediate next raid.

It was a one-point game when Prapanjan came in for a Do-or-Die raid in the final raid of the match and he seemed to have picked up a touch point. But a Dabang Delhi K.C. review revealed there was no touch on the defender and the match ended in a tie.
