Telugu Titans face Puneri Paltan and Bengal Warriors go up against Dabang Delhi K.C. in the final day of the Kolkata leg in Season 5 of VIVO Pro Kabaddi. Thursday’s Inter Zone Challenge Week fixtures at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium will witness the Titans looking to build on the win from their last outing against a Pune side who are also looking for back-to-back victories. Bengal, meanwhile, after two successive defeats will eye returning to winning ways against a Delhi team high on confidence.

Match 65: Telugu Titans vs Puneri Paltan

Head-to-head: Telugu Titans 5–3 Puneri Paltan. 1 draw

The Titans currently lie in fifth position in Zone B and need to string a few wins together if they want to put their woeful start to the campaign behind them and make the qualifiers. Raid Machine Rahul Chaudhari hasn’t always been in the best of form this season and will need to up his game in the latter half of the league stage. A few individuals who have been a part of their recent resurgence and will have to bring their A-game to the mat are defenders Sombir and Farhad Milaghardan, and raider Mohsen Maghsoudlou.

Pune, on the other hand, will be featuring for the first time since the Mumbai leg when they beat Maharashtra rivals U Mumba in the derby. The onus of their attack will mostly be on skipper Deepak Hooda, Rajesh Mondal and all-rounder Sandeep Narwal, while their usually reliable defence features the likes of veteran Dharmaraj Cheralathan, Girish Maruti Ernak and Ziaur Rahman – all capable of the striking fear into the heart of opposition raiders.

Match 66: Bengal Warriors vs Dabang Delhi K.C.

Head-to-head: Bengal Warriors 5–3 Dabang Delhi K.C.

Meanwhile, Bengal Warriors will be looking to end their home leg on a high after back-to-back defeats. The Warriors were undefeated in their first three matches in Kolkata with two wins and a draw but head into Thursday’s encounter desperate for a positive outcome that would strengthen their spot at the top of Zone B. Maninder Singh has been their best raider at home but has lacked support in attack, while captain Surjeet Singh and all rounder Ran Singh also need to step up their game after some poor displays.

Bengal will be up against a buoyant Delhi team still basking in the brilliance of their skipper Meraj Sheykh’s performance from Wednesday night. The Iranian all-rounder put on an exhibition in attack and will be confident leading his side along with countryman Abolfazl Maghsodlou, who has looked just as menacing in offence on his day. Dabang currently prop up Zone A and will have the added incentive of moving away from rock-bottom with another victory.
