Ayodhya is all set to play host to the 68th Senior Men's National Kabaddi Championship, beginning on 13th April, 2021. The 4-day kabaddi extravaganza will feature 30 teams across the country battling it out to win India's premier inter-state competition. The hosts, Uttar Pradesh, will be locking horns with Assam in the opening match of the 68th Senior Men's National Kabaddi Championship. 

The reigning champions -  Indian Railway will be eyeing their third consecutive title after bagging their second title on the trot last year. With players like Pawan Sehrawat, Vikash Kandola, Parvesh Bhainswal and Sunil Kumar in their ranks, the opponents will face a rather tough challenge in dethroning the defending champions.

The competition will also provide a platform for young kabaddi players to showcase their skills on the mat. Coach Krishna Kumar Hooda, who guided Dabang Delhi K.C. to their maiden vivo Pro Kabaddi League final in 2019, and former Indian team raider Ashok Shinde will be on the lookout for the most promising players, scouting them for the Indian national team camp. 

Unlike the previous edition, this year 30 teams are divided into eight groups (A to H). While Group A and B feature three teams each, the remaining six pools consist of four teams each. The eight groups of the 68th Senior Men's National Kabaddi Championship are as follows:

The group-stage matches are set to be played from 13th to 15th April 2021 followed by the knock-out round. Consecutively, the top-two sides from each group will make it to the pre-quarterfinals that will take place on the same day. The semi-finals and the final of the 68th Senior Men's National Kabaddi Championship are slated to take place on16th April 2021.
