Bengal Warriors began their home leg with a brilliant win as they shocked league Jaipur Pink Panthers 32-25. Korean raider Jang Kun Lee had a terrific game as he scored 12 points to give Bengal Warriors their second win of the season. Jaipur Pink Panthers’ defence scored just five tackle points as they crashed to a second successive defeat.

Bengal Warriors remain bottom of the table with 16 points from nine games but the win would give them huge lift. Jaipur Pink Panthers salvaged a point and are still top of the table with 32 points from 10 games.

Bengal Warriors sent Jasvir Singh to the bench in the first minute to lead 2-0. Rajesh Narwal scored the first raid point for Jaipur Pink Panthers in the second minute. Jaipur Pink Panthers led 4-3 after five minutes as Jasvir Singh opened his account.

Korean star Jang Kun Lee made a strong start and scored three raid points as Bengal Warriors led 6-4 after eight minutes. Surjeet Narwal scored two points with a do-or-die raid in the 11th minute as Bengal Warriors led 9-5. Mahipal Narwal scored with a super raid in the 13th minute as Jaipur Pink Panthers tied the game at 10-10.


In an exciting encounter, Jang Kun Lee had a moment of magic in the next minute as he scored with a five-point raid as Bengal Warriors led 15-10. Bengal Warriors were in fine form as they ended the first half with a five-point lead at 18-13. Jang Kun Lee scored six points in the first half for Bengal Warriors.

Nitin Madane scored a two-point raid but was forced with an injury in the 21st minute as Bengal Warriors led 20-13. Ajay Kumar responded with a two-point raid for Jaipur Pink Panthers in the next minute. Bengal Warriors led 24-15 after 25 minutes as they opened a nine-point gap. Ajay Kumar was the lone warrior for Jaipur Pink Panthers as he had eight points after 28 minutes as Jaipur Pink Panthers cut the lead to six points. Jang Kun Lee achieved a super 10 in the 30th minute to give Bengal Warriors 27-18 lead.

With less than five minutes to go Jang Kun Lee continued his stellar form with another two-point raid as Bengal Warriors led 31-22. Jaipur Pink Panthers did damage control in the last two minutes to reduce the defeat margin to seven points as they lost 25-32.
