On Day 24 of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi, reputed flautist Rasika Shekar performed the National Anthem on the last day of the New Delhi leg. Merging the styles of Carnatic and Hindustani music along with the jazz sounds of the streets of New York, Rasika is also an accomplished singer and has sung for two Bollywood films in the past two years. Her passion lies with the flute, having been the only Indian flautist to participate in the prestigious World Flute Festival in New Delhi in 2014.

The flute being an instrument of Indian origin, it was a perfect combination of soothing sounds coupled with the notes of the National Anthem that resonated through the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium – an experience unlike any other.
