On Thursday, the Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023 brought us three fantastic matches from Busan, Korea. Day 3 was a crucial day in the tournament as the teams put in the hard yards to secure a spot in the top two on the points table.

In the first match of Day 3, Chinese Taipei registered their second win of the tournament. They beat Japan comprehensively with a 37-29 scoreline.

The match between Korea and Hong Kong was postponed to Day 4.

India and Iran had a watchful start and were going head-to-head in the first quarter. Aslam Inamdar earned a 2-point raid in the 11th minute. After this, India inflicted an All-Out to extend their lead to 11-5. Indian skipper, Pawan Sehrawat escaped past two Iranian defenders to stretch their lead to 17-7 with four minutes left in the first half. Iranian defenders produced a Super Tackle against Aslam Inamdar to end the first half trailing by 19-9.  

Iran looked to make a comeback by adding quick points to their account. They accelerated the game and got the result as they inflicted an All-Out. They cut down the deficit to four points at 26-22 in India's favour with six minutes left. India produced a Super Tackle with less than a minute to go to take the score to 31-27. Arjun Deshwal's two-point raid ensured a win for his team. They sealed a thriller with a 33-28 scoreline to continue their unbeaten run in the tournament.

In the final encounter, Chinese Taipei claimed a comfortable win against the hosts, Korea, by a 70-25 scoreline to end their campaign on a high.
