Top Raiders of PKL Season 10

Pro Kabaddi Season 10 witnessed plenty of high-quality raiding displays on show with some raiders stealing the limelight throughout the campaign with their attacking prowess. For a team to be successful in PKL, having a top quality raider is a prerequisite since they are the ones who do the bulk of the scoring and can earn their respective teams quick points with swift raids. However, what separates the good raiders from the great ones is their ability to consistently deliver top class displays on the mat over the course of a gruelling PKL season which demands a lot from players both in terms of physical and mental strength. Here, we have a look at the best raiders from Pro Kabaddi Season 10.

Ashu Malik - Dabang Delhi K.C.

Perhaps one of the surprises of Season 10, not many would have predicted Ashu Malik to top the raid points charts at the start of the campaign. Taking over the mantle of lead raider for Dabang Delhi K.C. in the absence of the injured Naveen Kumar, Ashu Malik led by example with a whopping 276 raid points and deservedly took home the Best Raider of Season 10 award. He finished the campaign with 15 Super 10s and nine Super Raids besides also chipping in with four tackle points as Dabang Delhi K.C. qualified for the playoffs before being eliminated.

Arjun Deshwal - Jaipur Pink Panthers

Unlike Season 9, Arjun Deshwal’s raiding heroics couldn’t quite guide Jaipur Pink Panthers all the way to the PKL title. That said, Deshwal enjoyed another solid campaign from an individual standpoint as he finished Season 10 as the campaign’s joint highest-scoring raider with Ashu Malik having accumulated 276 raid points. He finished the season with 17 Super 10s, which was the most managed by any player in PKL 10. Deshwal also produced seven Super Raids and contributed two tackle points.

Pawan Sehrawat - Telugu Titans

Even though Telugu Titans endured another underwhelming campaign as they finished at the bottom of the Season 10 standings, Pawan Sehrawat didn’t let his own personal standards drop. Playing for a team where he often lacked support, the Hi-Flyer came up trumps in attack as Season 10’s third highest raid points scorer with 202 raid points. Only Pawan Sehrawat, Arjun Deshwal and Ashu Malik breached the 200-raid points mark in Season 10. A complete player, Pawan finished the season with 13 Super 10s, five Super Raids, one Super Tackle, one High 5, and 15 tackle points.

Maninder Singh - Bengal Warriors

One of the most consistent performers in PKL history, it wouldn’t have come as a surprise to anyone that Maninder Singh enjoyed yet another solid campaign with Bengal Warriors. The second highest raid points scorer in Pro Kabaddi history with 1428 raid points overall, Maninder Singh amassed 197 raid points in Season 10 as he led Bengal Warriors’ attack in style. He finished the season with nine Super 10s and five Super Raids but unfortunately for the Warriors, it wasn’t enough for them to secure a playoffs berth.

Narender - Tamil Thalaivas

After a breakthrough debut campaign in Season 9 where he scored a whopping 243 raid points, Tamil Thalaivas’ Narender proved that he isn’t a one hit wonder in Season 10 as he led the southerner’s raiding unit from the front. He scored 186 raid points in Season 10 for the Thalaivas and showcased that he has the skills to be a consistent performer for years to come. Still a relatively young raider, Narender finished Season 10 with 11 Super 10s and four Super Raids.
