VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 6 marked the first campaign in history where five raiders managed to score over 200 raid points, beating the previous record of three from Season 5. Having witnessed raiding of such high calibre, we look back at the five biggest raiding performances from the campaign gone by.

1. Pardeep Narwal – 27 raid points vs. Puneri Paltan

With a draw and a defeat in their previous two matches, Patna Pirates were in the hunt for a victory when they battled Puneri Paltan in Vizag and captain Pardeep Narwal delivered a massive performance that inspired his team to a 53-36 victory.  The two-time MVP scored 27 raid points in 26 raid attempts, including a Super Raid at a strike rate of 103.85, scoring all but six of the 33 raid points that his team managed in the match.

2. Pawan Kumar Sehrawat – 22 raid points vs. Gujarat Fortunegiants

Bengaluru Bulls’ Pawan Kumar Sehrawat enjoyed a stunning campaign in Season 6, scoring a league-leading 271 raid points. But the raider saved his best for the last as he scored a record-setting 22 raid points in the final against Gujarat Fortunegiants to secure a maiden VIVO Pro Kabaddi crown for Bengaluru Bulls. Sehrawat scored 18 of his 22 raid points in the second half at a strike rate of 100 in a performance for the ages.

3. Pawan Kumar Sehrawat – 20 raid points vs. Tamil Thalaivas

In Bengaluru Bulls’ season opener against Tamil Thalaivas, all eyes were on Ajay Thakur and Rohit Kumar after their magnificent performances in Season 5. But it was Pawan Kumar Sehrawat who stole the show with a 20-raid point performance that included three Super raids; the most in a single match in Season 6. Sehrawat needed only 15 raids to score 20 raid points, giving him a stellar strike rate of 133.33. Sehrawat finished the campaign with 12 Super Raids.

4. Nitin Tomar – 20 raid points vs. Dabang Delhi K.C.

After a strong start to the season that saw him score 22 raid points in Puneri Paltan’s opening two matches of the season, Nitin Tomar delivered his best performance of the campaign against Dabang Delhi K.C., scoring 20 raid points in just 23 raid attempts in his side’s third game. Tomar scored five times as many points as the next highest scorer on his team and scored all but four raid points that Puneri Paltan managed in the contest. Tomar was the only player from either team to hit double figures in terms of points scored in the match.

5. Deepak Niwas Hooda – 20 raid points vs. Dabang Delhi K.C.

While Jaipur Pink Panthers missed out on a Playoffs spot, the performances of all-rounder Deepak Niwas Hooda were a silver lining for the team in Season 6 as he finished the campaign with a career-high 196 raid points in 22 appearances. His best outing came against Dabang Delhi K.C. where he scored 20 raid points in the first match of Dabang Delhi K.C.’s home leg. Hooda managed to score his 20 raid points in just 25 raid attempts and was the highest scorer of the match from either team.
