The Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 serves up a blockbuster in Match 11, with two unbeaten sides — Puneri Paltan and Bengal Warriorz — going head-to-head at the Vishwanadh Sports Club, Vizag. Both teams have started their campaigns in dominant fashion, and this clash promises to test their early-season momentum to the fullest.
Puneri Paltan
Bengal Warriorz
Bengal Warriorz’ captain Devank has begun PKL 12 in electrifying style, scoring 21 raid points in their win over Haryana Steelers. The PKL 11 top raider has carried his form into this season, but his next challenge is Puneri Paltan’s defence — arguably the best in the league right now.
Puneri’s defenders have been relentless, grabbing 18 tackle points in their last match against Gujarat Giants, outscoring their raiders. Their aggressive, all-out defensive style will directly test Devank’s consistency and ability to pierce through the corners.
While defence has been their strength, Puneri also boast an in-form raiding trio. Aditya Shinde scored a Super 10 in their opening match, Pankaj Mohite provides agility and flair from the centre, and captain Aslam Inamdar adds all-round leadership and attacking guile. This trio ensures Pune don’t rely on one star but spread the pressure across the opposition’s defence.
The departure of Maninder Singh ahead of PKL 12 marked a new chapter for Bengal Warriorz. In Devank, they have found not only a replacement but a talismanic leader who is already making an impact. With Manprit chipping in with a Super 10 in his debut, Bengal suddenly have a dangerous raiding duo capable of surprising even the strongest defences.
After missing out on the playoffs last season, Puneri Paltan have started PKL 12 strongly with back-to-back wins. They edged Bengaluru Bulls in a tie-breaker before thrashing Gujarat Giants. Known for their rocky beginnings in early PKL editions, the Paltan have grown into one of the league’s most consistent playoff sides, capped by their first title in Season 10.
The Warriorz lifted their maiden title in PKL 7, but have failed to make the playoffs since. The arrival of Devank, last season’s top raider, has given them a new identity and spark. With Devank leading by example and young players like Manprit showing promise, Bengal are aiming to return to the playoff picture in PKL 12.
