Paltan will bank on Aslam and Mohit to add points in the attack

Aslam Inamdar proved his mettle in his first-ever vivo Pro Kabaddi season and will be the main leader for the Paltan. He was the top raider for the franchise with 169 raid points to his credit. Mohit Goyat was equally good in the attack and amassed 159 raid points for his side. We can also expect Pankaj Mohite who is an established name in the Kabaddi world to show his attacking prowess.

The Iranian Additions

Puneri Paltan have roped in the Iranian heroes, Fazel Atrachali and Mohammad Nabibakhsh to add more experience to their side. These are two seasoned campaigners who know how to go about their job. They can wreak havoc against any opposition. Thus, the management paid a whopping amount to bag this duo. The left-corner Atrachali was bought at ₹1.38 crores whereas the all-rounder Nabibakhsh was added at ₹87 lakhs.

Heavy Dependence on Defence

Apart from Fazel, the right-corner, Sombir will be a handy contributor to the defence as he scored 60 tackle points in 19 matches in the last season. This corner duo will be forming a pair for the first time and can be a lethal weapon for the Paltan in the long run if they keep themselves going.

To perform the cover duties, they have got the likes of retained players Sanket Sawant and Abinesh Nadarajan. They were brilliant in the defence in the previous season and will look to deliver on a regular basis.

Other than these four defenders, the other ones namely, Badal Singh, Harsh Lad, Rakesh Ram and Alankar Patil haven’t been tested much on the mat and it would be an opportunity for them to showcase their talent on the biggest stage of Kabaddi. The team’s roster features as many as 10 defenders to pick from.

They have got the experience of BC Ramesh and his presence in the dugout as a coach can help them to turn the tides in their favour in tough situations.
