In the 9th edition of vivo Pro Kabaddi, we saw teams with a good blend of youth and experience. Some of the youngsters made a name for themselves in the tournament with their power packed skills and added excellent value to their respective franchises. 

Here’s a look at the top debutants who made an impact this season.

Narender, Tamil Thalaivas 

The young raider took the league by storm this season. He was the most reliable raider for Tamil Thalaivas as did the bulk of the scoring for the side. Narender showed great maturity and looked calm and composed in pressure situations. Narender scored 243 raid points which consisted of 15 Super 10s and four Super Raids. 

Ankush, Jaipur Pink Panthers

The left corner was a force to reckon with in the defence. He was a performer of the highest class for the Jaipur Pink Panthers. He overtook not just his captain in terms of scoring but also turned out to be the best defender of the season with 89 tackle points. He produced nine High 5s and five Super Tackles and showed good maturity with his tackle work.

Parteek Dahiya, Gujarat Giants

The all-rounder was amongst the top 10 leading raiders of the campaign. He made the most of the opportunities coming his way and he took up the scoring responsibility in the absence of Rakesh. Parteek Dahiya went on to become the most successful raider for Gujarat Giants in the tournament. In 19 appearances for the Giants, Dahiya amassed 178 raid points.

Jai Bhagwan, U Mumba

The emerging raider showcased his raiding prowess against some of the biggest names in vivo Pro Kabaddi. He proved to be a handy campaigner for U Mumba in this campaign. He knew how to go about his game and took the pressure off the other raiders in the side. Jai Bhagwan accumulated 75 raid points for the Mumboys this season.

Reza Mirbagheri, Jaipur Pink Panthers 

The Iranian was picked by Jaipur Pink Panthers for vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 and he added good value to the side defensively. Reza Mirbagheri played 16 matches in his debut season and the move of picking him in the side paid dividends for the Top Cats. With two High 5s and a Super Tackle to his credit, he scored 36 tackle points in this season.
