Pardeep Narwal's 1500 raid points

A name that needs no introduction and is always rated as one of the best in the game. Pardeep Narwal has been the backbone for the teams that he has played and has been a synonym for consistency. The Dubki King was once again the main man for his side in the attack and he went past 1500 raid points in vivo Pro Kabaddi. He achieved this feat against Gujarat Giants in Match 93 with a touchpoint against Arkam Shaikh. The Record-Breaker played a crucial role alongside Rohit Tomar and earned 9 raid points for the Yoddhas and helped them to get over the line.

Mohammadreza Chiyaneh's 16 tackle points

The Pirate continued from where he left in the previous season with his fearless approach in the defence. He was the second-best defender in Season 9 with 84 tackle points. This also consists of 16 tackle points that he scored against Dabang Delhi K.C. in Match 89. The Iranian scripted history by making it difficult for the Dabang raiders to score points against him. When the other Patna Pirates’ players were struggling to add points to the team total, Mohammadreza Chiyaneh stepped up to the task and had a 100% success rate in the defence. He did eight tackles in the match and all of them were Super Tackles which showed his prowess. The Pirates lost the game but it will be remembered for Chiyaneh’s defensive show.

U.P. Yoddhas vs Tamil Thalaivas tie-breaker

In an all-important encounter, U.P. Yoddhas who were making their fifth playoffs appearance faced Tamil Thalaivas who made it to the playoffs for the first time in vivo PKL history. There was nothing much to separate the two sides as the Thalaivas managed to have a 2-point lead at the halfway stage in Eliminator 2 of vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9. The Yoddhas made a good comeback in the second half but couldn’t get over the finish line and the game went into a tie-breaker. After which, the two sides gave it all in the 5 raids per side tie-breaker and the Thalaivas held their nerve to make it to the semifinal.

Fazel Atrachali’s 400 tackle points

The Sultan has been a live wire in the defence and there is no easy escape when he is around. Fazel Atrachali has stood like a wall for the teams that he has featured in vivo Pro Kabaddi. He led Paltan’s defence from the front in the 9th edition and was an asset for the side. Atrachali was leading the all-time leaderboard with 368 tackle points before the start of Season 9 and completed 400 tackle points against Tamil Thalaivas in Match 69. His back hold and ankle hold have always been a treat to watch and with a strong hold on Narender, he went past that magical number and guided his team to a win with a High 5.

Ajinkya Pawar's 7-point raid

The experienced Ajinkya Pawar took up the captaincy duty in the absence of Sagar exceptionally well and led the Thalaivas from the front. In Match 116 of the vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9, he put on a show against Telugu Titans. It was a clean-up act from Pawar when he was up against five defenders - Muhammed Shihas, Prince D, Ankit, Nitin and Abhishek Singh who were active on the mat to inflict an All-Out. With this, he completed a 7-point raid which was one of the stand-out performances in Season 9. He scored a whopping 20 raid points to seal a big win for Thalaivas.
