With 38 Super Raids, 44 Super 10s, 858 raid points and three VIVO Pro Kabaddi titles to his name, Pardeep Narwal has already cemented his legacy as one of the sport’s greatest players. The ‘Record-Breaker’ is on the brink of creating some more history, as he sits just 42 raid points away from the 900 raid points mark, and if all goes well, the Patna Pirates ace could also become the first man to breach the 1000 raid point mark in VIVO Pro Kabaddi, adding another accolade to his already legendary career.

While he started his VIVO Pro Kabaddi career with the Bengaluru Bulls in Season 2, it was his move to the Patna Pirates in the following campaign that helped him blossom into an outstanding raider. After he helped the Patna Pirates capture their maiden VIVO Pro Kabaddi title in Season 3; a feat that won him the Emerging Player of the Season award, Pardeep Narwal became an overnight sensation in the sport. He topped the list of the highest-scoring-raiders that season with 116 raid points to his name, leaving behind other stalwarts like Rahul Chaudhari and Anup Kumar.

Since his breakthrough season, Narwal’s career has gone from strength-to-strength. In four glorious seasons, he has ascended to the top of league’s all-time leading raid points scorer list and on the way, has also become the player with the most points in a single season, a single game and a single raid, constantly pushing the envelope of what was possible in the sport.

Narwal took Patna Pirates to two more titles in the following seasons and crossed the 100-raid-point mark each time. Season 5 was particularly brilliant for the raider as he broke record after record, scoring 369 raid points, 150 raid points more than the second highest-scoring raider. In Eliminator 2, Narwal scored a record 34 raid points against Haryana Steelers. His unprecedented 8-point raid in that game is one of the most iconic moments in VIVO Pro Kabaddi history. His ability to score quickly and use the Dubki to good effect ensured that defenders were never able to anticipate his next move.

He made a huge impact in Season 6 as well with 233 raid points to his name and earned him his second straight Best Raider award. Narwal will be eyeing a fourth VIVO Pro Kabaddi crown with the Patna Pirates in Season 7 and, an unprecedented, third-straight Best Raider award. With the support of Jang Kun Lee in the raiding department and veteran leadership in the form of Surender Nada, Narwal and the Patna Pirates would yet again be one of the teams to be vary of in this upcoming season.
