Nitin Kumar Proves His Raiding Mettle

Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Nitin Kumar embraced his new role as lead raider brilliantly, scoring a Super 10 in their first game of PKL 12. In doing so, he crossed the 300 raid point milestone in just 35 matches. His efficiency was outstanding — only 2 unsuccessful raids out of 20 attempts.

Backing him was Iranian debutant Ali Samadi, who impressed with his speed and flair. He nearly managed a Super 10 on debut, showing signs of becoming the next big Iranian talent in the league. Together, Nitin and Samadi give Jaipur a formidable front line.

Can Vijay Malik and Bharat Spark a Titans Comeback?

Telugu Titans are still searching for their first win in PKL 12 after two losses. The positive sign for them, however, has been the return to form of captain Vijay Malik, who scored a Super 10 in the last game. A rare all-rounder, Malik has more than 500 raid points and 75 tackle points in PKL history.

Alongside him is Bharat Hooda, a consistent raider with over 100 raid points in each of the last four seasons. However, his strike rate has dipped in recent campaigns, and he will need to rediscover his old form to ease the pressure on Vijay.

For Titans to turn their fortunes around, their defence must also step up. Despite adding Shubham Shinde, one of PKL’s best corners, the unit has yet to find rhythm.
